The barely 22-year-old musician, vocalist, visual artist and producer made a substantial mark with his ‘1000′ & ‘1992’ EPs, which introduced his idiosyncratic blend of inventive electronic soul and blues, bruised nocturnal funk and reimagined, angular pop. Arriving seemingly out of nowhere, Ben’s music won praise from Pitchfork to NPR , iTunes (‘Artist for 2015’) to BBC Radio 1 and The Fader among others, earmarking Ben as one of the UK’s most critically regarded and hotly tipped artists.See Artist Catalog →
Benjamin Francis Leftwich
Benjamin Francis Leftwich began playing guitar and singing at the age of ten and realised early on that song-writing was a natural means of expression to him. ‘I like the way a song can grab you for a couple of minutes and take you somewhere, and how the different elements in a track can make you feel.’ Growing up on a diet of The Rolling Stones and Nina Simone, Leftwich discovered Placebo, Bob Dylan and Elliot Smith in his teens and quickly began playing out on the York music scene. His debut LP ‘Last Smoke Before the Snowstorm' reached the UK album charts top 40 in 2011, and he is currently in the studio working on his much anticipated follow up, set for release in summer 2015.See Artist Catalog →
Fossil Collective, a two-piece from Leeds, consists of multi instrumentalists David Fendick and Jonny Hooker. Their first recordings saw them taking inspiration from classic albums by Neil Young, Fleetwood Mac and Simon and Garfunkel and suggested comparisons with more contemporary artists such as Fleet Foxes, Midlake and Bon Iver. But in truth their exquisitely structured songs and glorious, rich harmonies owe as much, if not more, to a solid English song tradition, and their material holds that distinct English quality that many North American artists hanker after. The bands debut LP ‘Tell Where I Lie’ was released in 2013.See Artist Catalog →
Marika’s music channels something very different to the happy-clappy nature of recent folk, hers is a far more potent vision in the lineage of Syd Barrett, but presented by an enigmatic beauty with a striking vocal delivery more akin to that of Nico. Testament to Marika’s rare talent can be heard on a recent covers EP that disclosed a raft of influences from Warpaint and The Knife to Nico and Nirvana. Intrigue is at the heart of Marika’s music, but there’s something gloriously attainable about her as an artist, and her commitment to touring and meeting with a receptive audience who are searching for the very same antidotes to the challenges of modern life. Marika’s debut full length ‘We Slept At Last’ is set for release on 16th February 2015.See Artist Catalog →
Nothing just happens overnight. QTY might seem like they arrived perfectly formed last October with the release of 'Rodeo' - a bright, joyous indie rock lightning bolt that feels as much of a force of friendship as that detailed in its narrative - but Dan Lardner and Alex Niemetz had been working towards that moment for most of their lives.See Artist Catalog →
After spending the last couple of years in their studio exploring sounds and working on new music, Superfood return with the infectious ‘Double Dutch', their first new material since 2014.
Having pressed reset on the band, Superfood will start their new incarnation alongside Dirty Hit. Their as yet untitled second album will be released later this year and is born out of a new found freedom, enabling them to take their music to completely new and exciting places.
Free from outside influences, the self produced record bursts with light but the album's formation wasn't without its problems, "we had no money, no label and wanted to give up several times" says frontman Dom Ganderton. The band emerged through the struggles with a record that serves as a document to perseverance, while putting to bed any notion of a difficult second record.See Artist Catalog →

Even the simplest of intentions can exceed the wildest of expectations. the story of North London’s ‘Wolf Alice’ is testament to that – a group brought together through the bedroom writing of frontwoman Ellie Rowsell and inspired by kindred spirit and guitarist Joff, drummer Joel, and Theo (bass) who brought her softly spoke, bittersweet tales from the bedroom to the limelight.
After taking the North London music scene by storm with their early releases ‘Bros’ and ‘Blush,’ the band signed to Dirty Hit and released their 3rd EP ‘Creature Songs’.See Artist Catalog →
